Job Description
The purpose of this position is manufacturing, inspecting and testing electronic components and/or other related assemblies or material subcomponents within specified time, safety and quality requirements.
Essential Job Functions
The following duties indicate the primary functions necessary to complete this job
- Read, understand and follow (English) procedures, instructions and prints for manufacturing, testing and inspecting products
- Complete accurate and legible record keeping and documentation
- Correct operation of machines, power and hand tools, fixtures, test equipment, measuring devices, etc. required to perform the job. See equipment section for examples
- Follow all company procedures and policies. regarding confidentiality, safety, attendance, violence, harassment, drug-free workplace, Quality, etc.
- Perform work in an efficient and safe manner with a focus on quality. Meeting company time and quality standards is expected after training period
- Handle and use various materials required for production, including plastics, metals, adhesives, epoxies, vanishes, solvents, etc. Appropriate PPE, ventilation and handling instructions must be followed to assure quality and safety.
- Participate in activities as assigned (CI events, Job Hazard Analysis, training, etc.)
Physical Abilities Required
- Must be able to move between work stations in the plant
- Ability to sit for long periods of time with hands and arms in front of you; standing for up to two hours may be required for some processes
- Ability to move up to 30 pounds
- Must have 20/20 vision in both eyes with correction. No color blindness
- Ability to grasp and hold tools, materials and parts with either hand, throughout the work shift
- Handle and assemble various size parts, from very small to large
- Dexterity in hands, ability to perform repetitive work, and ability to use process and testing equipment such as using microscope or pouring epoxy. See Equipment Section for examples.
Mental Abilities Required
- Effectively communicate (speak, read and write) in the English language in team setting.
- Accurately perform basic mathematical problems
- Handle occasional deadline pressure in a team environment without initiating conflicts.
